Magnolia Assisted Living
Magnolia Assisted Living held a Ground Breaking Ceremony on Monday, March 28th, initiating the launch of an expansion at 1604 South Burnside Avenue, Gonzales, La.
This facility first opened in 2010 as the first ‘green’ (environmentally sustainable) assisted living facility in Louisiana, with 36 senior living apartments. A new wing with eighteen more units will be added, increasing the number of one bedroom units to 26 and expanding the number of studio apartments from 24 to 30. The development will have a total of 54 units and an additional 13,000 square feet once completed. This will allow its occupants to “Experience the independence of apartment living while enjoying the security of qualified staff committed to keeping residents cared for and safe!”
Attending the ribbon cutting for Magnolia Assisted Living were owners’ James Baker and Qui Le, DPM. Also in attendance were City of Gonzales Mayor Barney Arceneaux; Gonzales Councilman Neal Bourque; Ascension Parish Government Communications Director Kyle Gautreau; Ascension Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Sherrie Despino; Chamber Ambassadors and Members; VIP attendees and Magnolia Assisted Living family and friends.
