BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo is the #1 year-round family attraction in Baton Rouge! Providing encounters with tigers, giraffes, rhinos and alligators and offering a variety of exhibits that are both fun & educational – including the Flamingo Cove, Safari Playground, L’aquarium de Louisiane, and KidsZoo.
The Zoo also offers unique & COVID-safe events: including birthday parties, reunions, corporate events, weddings and more! As well, the Zoo hosts dozens of special events for the community to enjoy annually.

The Zoo is active in conservation programs and participates with other zoos around the world in nearly 30 international Species Survival Plans for critically endangered species. As well, they provide educational programming for school-aged children and works closely with the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine conducting research on several species.
