The Ascension Chamber of Commerce celebrated the successes of 2023 and honored award nominees and recipients at their Annual Awards Banquet presented by Our Lady of the Lake Ascension on Thursday, March 7th. With nearly 400 guests, the brand-new Price LeBlanc PACE Center served as the perfect setting for the evening that started with a Social Hour presented by Express Employment Professionals and concluded with an awards program recognizing Chamber and member achievements in 2023.
The Ascension Chamber recognized outstanding members throughout the evening announcing the following honors New Member of the Year: Minutia; Small Business of the Year: Express Employment Professionals of Gonzales; Medium/Large Business of the Year: Hancock Whitney. The Chamber also recognized outstanding individuals within the Chamber community including the Young Ascension Professionals Emerging Leader: Katie Babin Decker of the American Cancer Society, the 2023 Ambassador of the Year: Kewanda Joshua of The ARC of East Ascension, and the Individual of the Year: Monty Buckles with Louisiana Federal Credit Union.
The finalists for New Member of the Year were Believe Grow Glow LLC, Minutia, and Top Team Roofing & Construction. Finalists Small Business of the Year Finalists were Church Funeral Services & Crematory, Express Employment Professionals of Gonzales, and Percy, Skias, & Schutte. The finalists for Medium/Large Business of the Year were CF Industries, Hancock Whitney, and Ochsner Health.
The Ascension Chamber presented local, non-profit Volunteer Ascension with a donation on behalf of our banquet sponsors.
